Vacuum pump refers to the device or equipment that uses mechanical, physical, chemical or physicochemical methods to extract air from the container to obtain vacuum. Generally speaking, vacuum pump is a kind of device to improve, produce and maintain vacuum in an enclosed space by various methods. According to the working principle of vacuum pump, vacuum pump can be basically divided into two types, namely gas capture pump and gas transmission pump. It is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry, food, electronic coating and other industries.

  • There is a large pumping speed in a wide pressure range;
  • The rotor has good geometric symmetry, so the vibration is small and the operation is stable. There are gaps between the rotors and between the rotor and the shell, so there is no need to lubricate, and the friction loss is small, which can greatly reduce the driving power, so as to achieve higher speed;

Overall structure type of pump

The overall structure of the vacuum pump is determined by the arrangement of the pump body.
The intake and exhaust ports of vertical structure are set horizontally, and the assembly and connection of pipelines are convenient. But the center of gravity of the pump is high, and the stability is poor at high speed, so this type is mostly used for small pumps.

Transmission mode of pump

The two rotors of the vacuum pump operate synchronously through a pair of high-precision gears. The driving shaft is connected with the motor through a coupling.

Mechanical selection

Whether the vibration of vacuum pump has influence on the process and environment. If the process is not allowed, the pump without vibration should be selected or anti vibration measures should be taken.

Mechanical installation

(1) the vacuum pump should be installed in a solid place on the ground, and there should be enough space around it to facilitate inspection, maintenance and repair.

(2) keep the foundation level under the base of the vacuum pump. It is suggested to pad damping rubber at the four corners of the base or cast and install with bolts to ensure the smooth operation of the vacuum pump and small vibration.
